Frequently Asked Questions

How much notice do you need for an order? Large cookie orders require at least 3 weeks in advance and payment will be required one week in advance. For smaller orders, such as pies or a few dozen will only require a week. I may not be able to fulfill an order during holidays/ market season and I may not be able to accept an order at a specific time. It is recommended to place your order as early as possible.

Are your cookies made from scratch? Yes, and I am a little picky about ingredients, so I always use cage free eggs and local ingredients when possible.

How do I pay for my order? I take payments through Venmo or Square. Within 48 hours of order confirmation, I will send a payment request for you to complete. I do make your cookies specifically for your order, therefore payment is required 3 days before pick up (large orders payment due one week before pick up). I will be in touch regarding pick-up availability for your order and payment invoice within 48 hours of ordering.

How do I get my cookies? I currently provide curbside/ porch pick-up. To save on costs and the environment, if you think you’ll need one, please bring a shopping bag of your own to hold your bags/ boxes of cookies.

Do you deliver? I am unable to provide delivery at this time. I am conveniently located off of Naamans Rd, easily accessible from I-95, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Where Are You Located? I am in North Wilmington, near 202, I-95, and Naamans Rd.- just down the road from the Brandywine Town Center- stop by after your Target run! Exact location will be provided with order.

Do you Ship your cookies? No. Delaware Cottage Food Law does not allow me to ship cookies. However, you are welcome to purchase and ship them yourself! Biscotti and your favorite coffee or tea package and ship nicely and would make anyone’s day!

Are you allergen-friendly? No. Common food allergens that may be found in the kitchen include: eggs, dairy, nuts, and wheat. Soy may be also be present, as it may be found within many ingredients used (such as sprinkles or chocolate chips), therefore, cross contamination of these ingredients may occur. Not all of my cookies contain all common allergens, and all equipment and surfaces used are cleaned and sanitized thoroughly, however, I cannot guarantee completely allergen free goods. If you have questions about ingredients for specific cookies, please email me at

Can you accommodate special diets? Because of the shared equipment in my kitchen, I do not make certified gluten-free or vegan treats. I have started offering “wheat free” as well as “dairy and egg free” treats at the markets, but please keep in mind that as a cottage food establishment I cannot be certified gluten free or vegan, as there is always the possibility of cross contamination.

A word About Safety: In order to maintain a license as a Cottage Food Establishment, I am required to take a Food Safety course. I want to assure you that, although this is a home kitchen, when preparing your cookies it is treated as a professional kitchen using cleaning and sanitizing techniques throughout the baking/packaging process. Also, though not a requirement for CFE’s, I want to assure you that every member of the Cookie Scoop household is fully vaccinated.
